Some of the information we receive is Personal Data, which means it could be used to directly or indirectly identify a natural person.
This policy is designed to explain to you what information about you, including Personal Data, Pinfinity collects in providing the Pinfinity Services, how that information is used and shared and the control you have over that information.
Data Processed by Pinfinity
We do not ask that you set up an account to use the Pinfinity app to unlock the power of augmented reality with our pins. However, when you point your device and click to scan a pin, we will collect and store information about you. The legal ground for processing information for this purpose is based on Pinfinity’s legitimate interest in serving you the correct content as part of an AR experience and continuously improving our Services.
This includes pins you've scanned, your GPS location, IP address and Advertising ID. We’ll never share that information with anyone outside of the Pinfinity.
It also includes information about how you have interacted with our Services and the pins, such as the time and frequency of the interactions, dwell time and the devices and operating systems used to access the AR interactions, so we can understand more about the user journey.
If the AR interaction is connected to a client of ours, all information about it is combined and shared with them in a way that doesn’t identify any individuals, so that they can better understand the performance of the pin and its AR interaction.
Pinfinity clients, or prospective clients, may provide us with Personal Data, including name, email address, phone number and other contact information, in connection with the Pinfinity Services you are, or will be, receiving. The legal ground for process information for this purpose is for the performance of the contract between us, for these Services, or in preparation for entering into that contract. In the delivery of the Services, you might also provide us with content that contains Personal Data, such as digital images of individuals.
Transfer of Personal Data
The information we collect in relation to you is stored on data centres operated by our third party providers. Our AWS data centres are currently based in Europe and the United States. By using Pinfinity Services, you consent to the hosting of your personal information on servers in both locations and the transfer of your Personal Data outside of the country it was collected. It is important to note that countries have different regulations in relation to personal information, including in relation to rights of access by law enforcement authorities.
We will share your Personal Data in the following ways:
Service Providers – we provide Personal Data to service providers who provide services on our behalf. This includes cloud storage providers, customer support providers, email marketing and SaaS providers.
Clients – we will share non-identifiable, aggregated data relating to your AR activity with our clients to whom the pin and AR experience is connected. If you have provided additional Personal Data as part of the experience (eg. as part of a competition entry), we will transfer this information to our clients and notify you beforehand.
